VINIFICATION The grapes, from selected plots of our Ervamoira and Bons Ares Farms, were harvested and selected manually, in small volume boxes. The grapes from Quinta de Ervamoira were vinified in granite presses and those from Quinta dos Bons Ares in concrete and wooden vats. After pressing, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in 6,000 to 10,000 liter barrels. For 18 months it was aged in barrels (50%) and in new French oak barrels (20%) and one-year-old barrels (30%). TASTING NOTES Dark red color, with garnet reflection, clean and bright. Very lively and fresh aroma, vinous, complex. The aromas of ripe fruit mix with fresher, minty aromas. It reveals aromas of spices such as cloves and black pepper, all of which are wrapped in a very well-integrated toasted wood note. Entry into the mouth with volume, ripe plums and aromas of fresh stomach. Good structure, with soft tannins and a freshness that extends the aftertaste. SERVING We recommend trying Duas Quintas Reserva with grilled red meat, such as aged beef chop or mirandesa steak. excellent with oven-baked cod, braised pork cheeks in red wine, stuffed turkey or moussaka with meat and eggplant.
