优雅的备前花瓶,带有自然窑变效果。 - 石器 - 松井浩之 Matsui Hiroyuki (1963-) - 日本 - 1900-2000

Item Description This elegant Bizen flower vase is a refined work by Hiroyuki Matsui, eldest son of Tomoyuki Matsui, an Important Intangible Cultural Property holder of Okayama Prefecture. The vase showcases the distinctive characteristics of Bizen ware, one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns, which is fired without glaze to bring out the natural beauty of the clay. The piece exhibits a harmonious balance of form and natural kiln effects, displaying the subtle variations in color and texture that result from wood-firing. The warm earth tones and organic surface qualities are characteristic of authentic Bizen pottery, making this vase suitable for both traditional ikebana arrangements and contemporary floral displays. Matsui's work demonstrates his mastery of traditional techniques while incorporating a modern sensibility that appeals to contemporary aesthetics. The vase comes with its original signed wooden box (tomobako), authenticating the piece and enhancing its collectible value. This flower vase represents an excellent example of contemporary Bizen craftsmanship from an artist who has successfully bridged tradition and innovation in his work. Size Height: 27.5 cm Width: 15 cm Depth: 12.5 cm Weight 1,152 g / 1.152 kg Condition The piece is in excellent condition with no visible damages or scratches. As a full member of the Japan Craft Association (Nihon Kogeikai), Matsui has dedicated his career to preserving traditional Bizen techniques while creating forms suited to contemporary lifestyles. He is particularly noted for his exploration of various firing techniques including "Kurodatsuki" (black cord markings), as well as his work with "Aisai" (indigo coloring) and "Neriege" (nerikomi/marbling) techniques.
