I hereby offer you a selection from my beer cellar: Westvleteren 12 is masterful in its complexity yet delightful in its simplicity. The sublimely smooth flavor of caramel and chocolate blends perfectly with the sweet raisin and nutty notes in the aroma. Combined with the substantial alcohol content, this results in a delightfully full mouthfeel and a pleasantly lingering, warm aftertaste. These 4 bottles have been resting in my cellar for about 8 years and are therefore several years past their expiration date. Westvleteren 8: This beer has a dark amber color and is crowned with an abundant, strongly clinging head. The nose of the Westvleteren 8 is an attractive combination of green nuts, soft fruit, and a hint of caramel. The various flavors of this beer create a harmonious yet complex taste sensation. You can taste the malts, right down to the barley husks. These beers are best served in the beautiful Westvletteren glass. This glass is also included.
