This is a charming vintage Kutani porcelain "Okimono" (ornament) depicting a sitting puppy. It features the deep, warm "Amber Glaze" (Ame-yu) which is characteristic of traditional Kutani ware from the Showa period. The craftsmanship is excellent, particularly the realistic texture of the fur sculpted under the glossy glaze. The puppy has a lifelike and innocent expression that gives it a wonderful presence.
