日本折叠屏风 - 木, 镀金木 - 日本 (没有保留价)
This is a high-quality vintage Japanese folding screen (Byobu), traditionally used as a grand backdrop for formal doll displays.
The surface is finished in a deep, glossy black lacquer (Roiro-nuri style), providing a stunning contrast with the gold "Makie" designs.
The motif depicts the "Sho-Chiku-Bai" (Pine, Bamboo, and Plum), which is the most auspicious combination in Japan, symbolizing resilience, vitality, and longevity.
The corners are protected by elaborate gold-plated metal fittings (Kanagu) with floral engravings, adding a luxurious touch.
It consists of two pairs of 2-panel screens, which can be arranged together to form a 4-panel display.
At 54cm in height, it is an impactful size, perfect for an interior accent on a sideboard or shelf.
