An extremely rare elongated gemmy apatite with a crystal-clear interior, great luster, and a bevelled termination that almost tricks one into thinking this is a beryl crystal. This piece comes from the classic Portuguese deposit of Panasqueira, a mine developed to exploit a series of tabular veins of Sn–W mineralization that have produced some of the finest sulfide and fluorapatite specimens in the world and definitely from Europe.
