Large blue halite from a really old and classic Italian locality that is not producing specimens anymore. The piece itself features a cube of intensely colored blue halite with a piece of matrix attached to one of the sides. I can't confirm or deny whether or not this piece is a crystal or an exfoliated chunk, but either way, it is a rare example of Italian mineral heritage.
