Miniature depicting Mother Mary feeding her baby Jezus. So called 'Maria Lactans'. Mother Mary is painted in a baroque style with influence of classisism. Before mother and child a fruitbasket with peaches and grapes. The technique used is gouache on paper with 'pointilism'. ( the blue robe of Mother Mary and the Christchild consist of small point of paint) In contemporary brass frame in classical style with a guirlande on top and acanthus-leaves around the frame..
