Contrary to appearances, mint destructs are very sought after by collectors, because their uniqueness makes them interesting and often very valuable, due to their rarity and exceptionality. Obverse on this coin: Unsealed central ring, with visible internal gaps. 12 stars on the coin are distorted. Additionally, 3 wide but short internal grooves in the form of cones run through the core and edge of the coin. All grooves and gaps were punched out during the movement of the press punch and minting under enormous pressure. The coin has a changed shape. The horizontal lines that run along the entire outer edge of the coin (on which 12 stars are attached) are ground down and barely visible. The eagle has no eyes and is missing part of its beak. The date 2002 is barely visible, no mint symbol. Reverse on this coin: unsealed central and outer rings. The outer edge of the coin is distorted, 6 stars and 6 vertical lines above the EURO inscription are distorted and blurred, The EURO inscription is poorly visible, the map of Europe in the lower part is damaged and incomplete.
