Rosenthal - Prof. Dieter Mankau - 花瓶 (2) - 振动 - 瓷 - 限量版
Dear Bidders,
I'm offering here a beautiful set of 2 porcelain vases from serie Vibrations designed by Prof. Dieter Mankau for Rosenthal.
A striking and dynamic porcelain vase from the Rosenthal Studio-Line, featuring the distinctive textured surface of the Vibrations series. This model was designed by Prof. Dieter Mankau for Rosenthal, with an expressive relief surface evocative of ripples or vibrating energy — a tactile and visual effect that gives the series its name.
The piece is crafted from high-quality porcelain and, in these variants, enhanced with a titanized platinum finish that produces dramatic metallic reflections and a modern, luxurious look.
Produced in limited numbers since Vibrations was introduced in 1972 while the licenced reproduction continued, and the production Year of this vase is 2007.
These vases combine sculptural presence with functional design — they stand as decorative art objects even without flowers.
SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS:
Rosenthal, founded in 1879 in Selb (Germany), is known for high-quality porcelain and long standing collaborations with leading designers of the 20th century — theirs is a legacy of merging art and industrial design in timeless creations.
Dieter Mankau, born in 1941 in Mazany, Poland, studied industrial design for 5 years at the Werkkunstschule Kassel and since 1972, after graduation, deepened his knowledge in experimental environmental design at the Braunschweig University of Art. At the beginning of the 70s, he devoted himself to various research and industrial development projects for prestigious companies such as Olympia, Rollei, Blaupunkt and others. It also welcomes the proposal made by Dietrich Müller, director of Rosenthal Design Studio, to implement his creative role in experimental glass and porcelain objects through technological ideas.
