A lovely antique Chinese porcelain tea caddy with a central decoration on 8 sides of a pavillion on the foregrouns and behind that a large fortified wall. Besides the pavillion and guard tower bamboo, prunus and pine tree; resembling the Three Friends of Cold Winter, executed in a nice cobalt underglaze blue with overglaze red and gold. Finished with a brown glazed rim. Handcrafted in ancient China during the Qing dynasty, Kangxi period (ca. 1700). Guaranteed original and of the stated period. Including silver handmade to measure lid, made in the Netherlands after 1814.. Height: 11,4 centimeter. Condition: The caddy is in perfect codition, minor baking imperfections.
