Magnesium ribbon Flash. A manual held brass flash with a magnesium ribbon built in. By unrolling the ribbon by turning the wheel to different lengths, one determines the exposure time. Camera shutter needs to set open before firing the flash. It is ignited with a match or a gas flame. The flash is internally equipped with a magnesium roll, in this devise the roll is complete at full lenght (see pictures) . Connection between reflector and roller has been replaced.
