Herend Pink Selection – Apponyi, Waldstein & Nanking Bouquet – Set of 5 Table Accessories (c. 1960s–1970s) A beautiful and elegant selection of five Herend porcelain table accessories in soft pink, light raspberry and light purple tones, featuring a harmonious mix of the classic Apponyi, Waldstein and Nanking Bouquet patterns. Herend has always been celebrated for its refined use of colour and decoration, and this carefully curated set brings together some of its most beloved floral designs into one charming composition. The result is a luxurious yet tasteful ensemble that works wonderfully as a gift or as an eye-catching addition to any interior. The set consists of: A large Nanking Bouquet patterned cookie / pastry dish A large Waldstein patterned bonbonnière (candy box) A woven-effect Apponyi patterned basket A porcelain ashtray A small Apponyi patterned miniature vase All pieces are genuine Herend quality porcelain, entirely hand-made and hand-painted in Hungary by Herend master painters. Dimensions: • Cookie dish: 18 × 16 cm • Bonbonnière: 10 × 8 cm • Woven basket: 10 × 3.5 cm • Ashtray: Ø 9 cm • Mini vase: height 7 cm Marks: Each piece bears the impressed Herend mark and blue underglaze factory stamp on the base. Period: circa 1960s–1970s The famous Apponyi pattern was originally created at the request of Count Albert Apponyi and was first presented at the 1867 Paris World Exhibition, where Herend tableware in this decoration was used at the banquet held in honour of Emperor Franz Joseph at the Élysée Palace. The pattern is derived from an enlarged detail of the Indian Basket (Fleurs des Indes) motif. Condition: Very good overall condition. The rose finial on the Waldstein bonbonnière has one small chip (visible in the last photo), which does not significantly affect its appearance or value. All other pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restorations. The photographs form an integral part of the description.
