Seiko - 5 6119-8021 - 没有保留价 - 中性 - 1968

According to most reliable sources online, the 6119A debuted in November 1967 and ceased production in 1975. The 6119C is the third and last upgraded model of the 6119 movement. For Seiko Collectors and Vintage fans, this is a Seiko 5 Seikosha SUWA in immaculate condition. This is a highly sort-after Seiko 5 SUWA, Model 6119C-8021 21 Jewel Automatic that comes with a brand-new vintage suede leprechaun-green hand-stitched genuine calf leather strap. This timepiece is a Collectible for a variety of reasons but main for its unit's 3D Dial and chapter ring. After a deep cleaning, this seldom seen September 1968 Vintage Seiko has revealed a beautiful and immaculately preserved stunning Super Silver Surfer 3D dial. I call this "Silverado." The 3D-styled silver Indices, hands, date / day window and Chapter Ring were also given a good clean-up and are now in superb condition. The case and lugs are one piece which makes it sexier and classier. The case and case-back were buffed as best as possible albeit a few minor scratches that are barely noticeable to the naked eye. However, there are scratch marks above and below and including the crown and crown location. I refuse to polish them off because it would affect the case shape. Furthermore, these scratches represent the previous owner's history! The mineral glass is original and in excellent condition. It too was given a good buff. The crown is original and is located at the traditional 4H position and is nicely tucked away to prevent damage or snags. The date and day quickset works as it should by uncorking the crown for hands adjustment. The movement was carefully stripped and serviced, oiled, re-assembled and basic calibration conducted in November 2022. It should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing thereby providing the owner peace of mind. Because it is a Japan Domestic Model (JDM), the Day is in English and Kanji, cool! Equipped with the 6619C movement, it has 21 Jewels that operate at 21,600 BPH. The time-grapher shows excellent readings of +10 seconds and amplitude of 175! Such readings are exceptional even by brand new modern automatic watch standards whereby the accepted tolerance is -20 to +40 seconds a day! This is a testament to the quality, excellent power reserve and longevity for such a vintage timepiece, the meticulous care provided over the years, and of course the painstaking calibration conducted. The case width and height are approximately 37mm (w/o crown) and 42.5mm respectively. The lug width is 19mm and the strap can accommodate wrists up to 21cm; thus, this watch is suitable for men and the modern women. Accompanying the timepiece is a brand new hi-quality leprechaun-green calf leather suede strap with matching stitching that emphasizes the silver case and dial and is extremely comfortable to wear. To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original Seiko components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket parts or modified. Due to its age, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested. The pictures provided show the watch in pristine condition (no dents and major scratches), and the movement within squeaky clean and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear & tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided instead. Seldom can one find a vintage watch that offers this and more. Yes, there are many other same / similar models in the market, but none are as well-kept and maintained as what you see here, and with an attractive price to boot. So, it is a no-brainer that this one-of-a-kind watch will make an extremely beautiful birthday present for that special someone born in September 1968! Another no-brainer is the fact that its value will appreciate over time. Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life and should be cherished and well taken care of for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty. This particular watch model and super unique dial with chapter ring is valued between S$ 166.00 to S$ 382.00 on various auction / online sites from really horrible, to un-serviced, to "as is," to serviced models. Online prices for fully restored and New Old Stock (NOS) models were unavailable at the time of writing. Note: the mentioned prices may / do not include currency conversions, commissions, taxes and freight costs etc.). Do also bear in mind that it will cost between S$ 120.00 to S$ 150.00 for a good servicing, an estimated S$ 40.00 for a basic calibration (depending on watch condition), and S$ 100.00 to clean and polish including tightening of bracelet links - these costs do not apply when purchasing this timepiece. So, if anyone was to sell such a timepiece at a low price yet claim that it has been serviced, one has to ask what kind of servicing was conducted, if any. This is a truly magnificent September 1968 Seiko 5 SUWA in stunning condition with a beautifully preserved vintage 3D dial, chapter ring, immaculate indices, hands, movement and case, and an awesome vintage hand-stitched calf suede leather strap; so, be unique and use something that is almost impossible to source. This is a must-have for the Seiko die-hard fan, or any vintage watch fan for that matter!
