One red and one white Ingenuity and design, conceived in the 70s: lamp composed of an adjustable lampshade in green lacquered metal with an articulated and flexible plastic body which allows the lamp to assume various poses. Designer: Isao Hosoe: He was born in Tokyo and completed his studies at Nihon University in Tokyo, where he graduated in Aerospace Engineering in 1965 with a thesis on a human-powered aircraft, then obtaining a Master of Science in 1967. In the same year he he moved to Italy, to Milan, to collaborate with Gio Ponti and Alberto Rosselli of the Ponti-Fornaroli-Rosselli studio from 1967 to 1974. In 1985 he founded his own studio Isao Hosoe Design. Member of ADI (Association for Industrial Design), of SIE (Italian Society of Ergonomics), of the Japan Design Committee and of the Japan Inter-Design Forum, he was professor of Industrial design at the Milan Polytechnic, at the Sapienza - University of Rome, the Faculty of Architecture in Alghero, the Domus Academy, the University of Siena, the ISIA in Florence, the Design Institute in Cagliari, the Les Ateliers school in Paris, the Elisava in Barcelona, the RISD in Providence, all 'University of Lisbon. Several of his projects are on permanent display at the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, but also in Milan and Chicago. He was awarded numerous awards, including internationally, for projects in the field of product design and interior design, transport, telecommunications and electronics: among these are the Compasso d'Oro with the Iveco Spazio bus for the Carrozzeria Orlandi (Modena), the Good Design Award Tokyo and the Gold Medal of the Milan Triennale.
