A highly sophisticated & classical lyre-shaped clock produced by Parisian clock manufacturer UTI in the 1980's. This wonderfully elegant timepiece is designed in French Empire style. The case is made of brushed brass resembling the casing of the 19th century fire-gilded examples with their shiny gold tone. It has a rectangular base with appliqués and a white dial with black roman numerals and sleek hands. This desk, shelf or table clock is fully functioning. It has a battery operated quartz movement working on a single AA battery. It also offers an alarm function. Since it ticks subtly this clock would make a perfect bedside alarm clock. Marked on the bottom. Condition is very good. Showing age expected signs of use and wear like slight marks and scuffs.
