Released two years after 2004’s Very Young, this second instalment in the trilogy showcases Ardbeg spirit at around eight years old, drawn primarily from ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at a potent 56.2 % ABV. Still Young captures the distillery’s unmistakeable bonfire smoke and Atlantic brine while revealing the first hints of the complexity that would culminate in 2008’s Renaissance. Tasting Notes: Peaty aroma, but hints of classic Ardbeg limes. Tar creaminess and pepperiness in the mouthfeel. Flavours of fruit, vanilla, toffee apples and treacle toffee. Sweet, malty and smoky.
