A nice miniature floater featuring two intergrown apatite crystals with very well-marked zonations, an external layer rich in fluid inclusions, and a gemmy green core that just lights up whenever you put a torch up to it. This piece comes from the classic Portuguese deposit of Panasqueira, a mine developed to exploit a series of tabular veins of Sn–W mineralization that have produced some of the finest sulfide and fluorapatite specimens in the world and definitely from Europe.
