花道花瓶 - 陶瓷 - 日本 - Celadon 氷裂貫入 “Yaegasumi” (没有保留价)

This is a substantial celadon vase produced by Tachikichi, a long-established Kyoto kiln renowned for refined glazing techniques and elegant forms. This vase belongs to Tachikichi’s “Seiran (青嵐)” series, known for its serene celadon tones and refined crackle glaze. The vase is titled “Yaegasumi”, meaning “layered mist”, a poetic expression in classical Japanese aesthetics describing soft veils of mist overlapping in the distance. This concept is reflected in the vessel’s calm presence and gently rounded silhouette. While designed and distributed by the Kyoto-based brand Tachikichi, the vase was likely produced at a traditional kiln in central Japan, possibly in the Shigaraki region, known for its robust clay bodies and suitability for large-scale ceramic forms. A defining characteristic of this piece is its crackle glaze (crazing), which developed naturally during the cooling process. The fine network of crackle lines creates a richly textured surface, allowing light to interact subtly with the celadon glaze and giving the vase depth and quiet visual movement. These crackle patterns are intentional and characteristic of this type of glaze, not damage or defects. The celadon tone appears soft blue-green to turquoise depending on lighting conditions. Photographs taken under natural light best represent the actual color, while studio lighting may emphasize deeper blue tones. This vase is notably large and heavy, giving it strong presence as a display piece suitable for interior décor, tokonoma display, or a curated collection of Japanese ceramics. The piece comes with its original wooden tomobako (storage box), indicating careful preservation. Please note: the box shows age-related condition issues, including slight warping of the lid and a repaired crack on the base panel. These do not affect the vase itself. Please kindly note: Images featuring floral arrangements are presented solely as a display example to illustrate how the vase may be used. Flowers, plants, and all photographic props are not included. Only the ceramic vase described in this listing is offered for sale. Condition The vase itself is in excellent condition. The original wooden box shows age-related wear, including slight warping of the lid and a repaired crack on the base. Vase: Very good condition, no cracks or chips Glaze: Original crackle glaze as intended Box: Original tomobako included; age-related wear and repair present Dimensions & Weight Height: approx. 25 cm Width: approx. 26 × 26 cm Maximum circumference: approx. 75 cm Total weight (with box): approx. 4.59 kg Country of origin Japan Period Showa period (20th century) Material Ceramic (stoneware with celadon glaze) Shipping & Delivery Policy Shipping will be via Japan Post with tracking.
