African Bambara mask from the Koulikoro region - Mali. Flat Bamana mask made of heavy, dense wood. Size: 38 cm high. This Bambara mask is dated from the mid-late part of the 20th century and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The face features small, round eyes and a straight, triangular nose. The mouth is small and round, and the ears are semicircular. Above the head, there is a plaque with four circular bulges at each end. In the center of each circle is a cowrie shell. The forehead features a V-shaped decoration with red abrusa seeds. Beautiful, smooth, dark patina. Good condition. It comes from the Koulikoro region.
