Three antique Chinese porcelain saucers – Famille Rose, Famille Verte and Peranakan style decoration – 18th/19th century Description A charming and decorative group of three antique Chinese porcelain saucers, each finely hand-painted and representing a different decorative tradition. One saucer is decorated in soft famille rose enamels with a lively scene of cranes standing on rocky outcrops, a classic symbol of longevity. The second saucer shows a colourful Peranakan-style composition with playful fish and floral elements. The third example is painted in vivid famille verte colours with floral motifs arranged in a radial design. The combination of different palettes and themes makes this group particularly attractive, offering a wonderful overview of late Qing decorative styles. All three saucers show a pleasingly irregular, hand-potted form and warm glaze typical of the period. Condition Overall in very good antique condition. The famille rose saucer with the crane scene has a small chip to the underside. The other two saucers are in excellent condition with no cracks or restorations. Minor wear and firing irregularities consistent with age and use. Dimensions Each saucer approx. 11.5 cm in diameter and approx. 3.3 cm in height.
