Otodus obliquus – Fossil shark tooth in matrix
Fossil shark tooth of Otodus obliquus, an extinct prehistoric shark and early ancestor of the Megalodon. The tooth displays a smooth-edged triangular crown with well-preserved lateral cusplets, typical of this species.
The tooth is naturally embedded in its original limestone matrix. Enamel is glossy and well preserved, with no restoration.
