Two beautifully carved doorlocks, used to lock granary- or cattle sheds The Dogon are famous carvers of statues, small doors and , as presented here, doorlocks The dark lock has a typical Dogon design of a married couple; well carved on top of the lock. The body of this lock has diagonal lines as decoration. Height; 30 cm. The smaller lock has the stylised design of an antelope; with horns on top of the lock. The body has diagonal lines as a decoration. Height.; 25 cm. Both locks were collected in the Pays Dogon in the 1990`s.
