Characteristics Type: "sybord" or "sewing table" is used to identify similar pieces of furniture with two drawers and distinctive turned legs. Style and period: The design of the piece, especially the ornately turned (barley twist) legs and brass handles on the drawers, is typical of the Neo-Renaissance (also known as Wilhelminian or Gründerzeit) style and may date from the late 19th century.
