Remarkable Bizen ware - flower vase with creative designs made by Nakamura Rokuro, Artist: Nakamura Rokuro(1914-2004) He was a ceramic artist born in Ibe, Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture. Nicknamed "Roku-san," he was a member of the Japan Crafts Association Chugoku Branch, the Bizen Ware Tomoyukai, and the Traditional Craftsmen's Association. 1945 Studied under Kaneshige Toyo In 1961, he established the Rokuro Kiln and went independent. In 1986, he was certified as a traditional craftsman. His style is simple and full of wildness. The deep scarlet color that appears in the kiln changes on the sticky earthenware of Kannon clay is known as the "Nakamura family scarlet," and has many admirers.
