Set of Three Post-Medieval Silver Rings with Coloured Glass Inlays
Late Post-Medieval period, 15th–17th century
A fine group of three silver finger rings dating from the late Post-Medieval period (circa 15th–17th century), each set with a coloured glass inlay. Two of the rings are additionally decorated with delicate filigree work, reflecting the ornamental metalworking traditions of the late medieval and early Renaissance period.
Such rings were worn both as personal adornment and as symbols of status, with coloured glass often used as an affordable substitute for precious gemstones.
