瓦 - 1700-1750年 - 古董瓷砖

Antique Polychrome Majolica Tile –Mid 18th Century Rare polychrome majolica tile dating to the Mid 18th century (circa 1700-1750), acquired from an antique dealer. The tile features a hand-painted symbolic decoration executed with mineral pigments in shades of blue, ochre, green, and manganese on a light background. At the center is the Christian Chi-Rho monogram (PX), accompanied by allegorical and symbolic elements of clear religious and devotional inspiration, characteristic of late 18th-century ceramic production intended for ecclesiastical or domestic sacred settings. The reverse is unglazed, with a rough and porous surface, consistent with the manufacturing techniques of the period. Minor irregularities and asymmetries in the decoration confirm its handcrafted execution. Condition: Good and authentic considering its age. The tile shows edge chips, surface wear, and small glaze losses, fully consistent with more than two centuries of history and not detracting from its historical or decorative value. Period: mid 18th century Material: Glazed majolica Technique: Hand-painted Origin: Italy Dimensions: approx. 13 x 13 cm (square format) A highly evocative object, ideal for collectors of antique ceramics, religious art, or as a distinctive historical decorative element.
