Publius Septimius Geta, son of Septimius Severus and Julia Domna, was born in Mediolanum (actual Milan) in the year 189 AD, and in the year 198 AD. Obtaining the title of César, at the same time that his mayor Caracalla was elevated to the rank of Augustus. He participated in the expedition to Britain which began in the year 208, and during the course of that military campaign he was elevated to the rank of Augustus in the year 209 AD, within the planes of Septimius Severus, who had the intention of ensuring that both men inherited the throne jointly. The saving nature of Caracalla, in turn, did not permit the union, and Geta was murdered by the assassins of his own brother and in the presence of his mother, in the month of February 212 AD, after only so many months of shared government.
