This movement was also used in the iconic 7005-80XX diver's series. For Seiko Collectors and Vintage fans, this is a Seiko DAINI in excellent condition. This watch is a Collectible because of its super rare movement. This rare June 1970 Vintage Seiko was given a good clean-up - the results - the silver sunburst dial, reflective chapter ring, 3D-styled silver markers, date window and hands are now in stunning condition. It's typical cylindrical shaped silver case was given a good clean-up and buffed as best as possible but tiny hairline scratches do remain. The acrylic crystal with date magnifier is original and was also given a good rub. The crown is located at the traditional 3H position. The date and time quickset works by uncorking the crown to the first and second levels for respective adjustments. The movement was carefully stripped, meticulously cleaned, oiled and re-assembled on 13 August 2024, thus it had undergone an overhaul and should be able to operate unhindered until the next servicing thereby providing the owner peace of mind. Equipped with the 7005 movement, it has 17 Jewels that operate at 21,600 BPH. The time-grapher shows stunning readings of +4 seconds and amplitude of 223 with a relatively straight line! Such readings are truly exceptional even by brand new modern automatic watch standards whereby the accepted tolerance is -20 to +40 seconds a day! This is a testament to the quality, excellent power reserve, the meticulous care provided over the years, and the painstaking expert calibration conducted. The case width and height are approx. 37mm (w/o crown) and 41.4mm respectively. The lug width is 18mm, and the bracelet can accommodate wrists up to 19.7cm; hence, this watch is suitable for men and the modern women. A brand-new Jubilee Designed SS Bracelet is provided as part of the deal. To the best of our knowledge and expertise when overhauling the timepiece, the watch is 100% original Seiko components from this particular watch. No parts were replaced with aftermarket or modified parts. Even though the seals and gaskets are present / replaced, this timepiece has not been water-resistant tested due to its age. The pictures provided shows the watch in excellent condition (no dents and major scratches), and the movement within squeaky clean and well maintained. It has also been demagnetised to improve parts reliability, minimise wear & tear, and improve accuracy. The only drawback is the lack of documentation and original box. A nice purposeful carrying case or box will be provided. This rare watch will make a beautiful birthday present for that special someone born in June 1970, and its value will appreciate over time. Bear in mind that this watch has seen many of the previous owners’ ups and downs in life and should be cherished and well taken care of for the next generation to savour such engineering beauty. Do also bear in mind that it will cost between S$ 120.00 to S$ 150.00 for a full servicing, an estimated S$ 80.00 for calibration (depending on watch condition), and S$ 100.00 to clean and polish including tightening of bracelet links - these costs do not apply when purchasing this timepiece. So, if anyone was to sell such a timepiece at a low price yet claim that it has been serviced, one has to ask what kind of servicing was conducted, if any. This is a truly magnificent and rare June 1970 Seiko 7005-8000 DAINI in stunning condition; so, be unique and wear a watch that is almost impossible to source in such fine condition.
