1930 - 古董白蜡木滑雪板,配 GEZE Kandahar 绑定器,二十世纪二十年代末至三十年代初
Offered is an original pair of antique wooden skis, made of ash wood, fitted with GEZE Kandahar metal bindings, dating from the late 1920s to early 1930s.
Ash wood was widely used in early ski manufacturing due to its strength, elasticity, and durability. The visible grain and natural patina confirm the authenticity and age of the skis.
GEZE bindings – historical background
GEZE GmbH was founded in 1863 in Germany.
In 1898, the company began manufacturing ski bindings, becoming a pioneer in this field.
The GEZE Kandahar bindings were among the most advanced of their time and were used by elite athletes.
At the 1936 Winter Olympic Games, skiers Christl Cranz and Franz Pfnür competed using GEZE Kandahar bindings, underlining their importance in the development of alpine skiing.
Today, GEZE no longer produces ski equipment, focusing instead on mechanical and automation technologies, such as automatic door and window systems, making these bindings a closed and collectible chapter in the company’s history.
