Gran Enemigo Chacayes Single Vineyard 2017 is the most austere of them all. It was made with Cabernet Franc and 15% Malbec from an early, low-yield harvest at 1,100 meters above sea level. Fermentation for Enemigo wines is always done with native yeasts and some whole clusters, and in 2017 it was 100% (for all wines from a single vineyard). The wine was aged in old oak foudres to avoid excessive oak or toasty aromas. An outstanding wine for a year like 2017 and among the best Chacayes wines of all time.
