Item Description This is a complete set of a traditional Japanese four-tier lacquered jubako (stacked food box), made of wood and finished with black urushi lacquer and elegant gold maki-e decoration. The exterior is richly adorned with delicate repeating patterns and floral motifs executed in gold, while the interior of each tier is finished in a vivid vermilion red, characteristic of high-quality Japanese lacquerware. This set includes all four stacking tiers, the matching base stand, decorative cord with tassels, and the original paper storage box. Notably, protective paper is still inserted at all four corners of each tier, indicating that the piece has never been used. The overall condition and completeness make this a highly desirable example for collectors of Japanese lacquerware or traditional tableware.
