Superb Roman bronze applique representing Sapientia or Providentia from the 2nd–3rd centuries AD. Stylistically, the piece belongs to the early Late Imperial Roman period, with an emphasis on frontal, formal synthesis, and symbolic weight. The dark patina and surface deposits are consistent with prolonged burial. Condition: good, with surface wear and minor losses consistent with its age. Significance: a unique piece due to the iconographic rarity of the book and the Phrygian headdress on a Roman bronze applique, reflecting the religious and intellectual syncretism of the Empire.
