传统日本四层蒔絵漆重箱 - 木材、漆、金蒔絵 - 日本 - 1900-2000

Item Description This is an exquisite traditional Japanese four-tier lacquerware jubako (stacked box) featuring elegant maki-e decoration. The piece showcases classic Japanese lacquer craftsmanship with gold maki-e designs on a rich black lacquer base. Each tier displays delicate floral and nature motifs characteristic of traditional Japanese decorative arts. The jubako consists of four stackable compartments, making it ideal for serving traditional Japanese cuisine during special occasions and celebrations. The lacquerware demonstrates meticulous attention to detail with smooth, glossy black lacquer surfaces embellished with gold maki-e patterns. The decorative elements include seasonal flowers and foliage, executed in the traditional maki-e technique where gold powder is sprinkled onto wet lacquer to create intricate designs. This type of jubako has been used in Japanese culture for centuries, particularly during New Year celebrations and formal gatherings. The piece is constructed from wood and finished with multiple layers of urushi lacquer, following traditional Japanese lacquerware techniques. The four-tier design allows for organized presentation of various dishes, with each compartment offering ample space for food service. The box demonstrates the refined aesthetic sensibilities of Japanese craftsmanship. Size Height: 29.5 cm (total stacked height) Width: 22 cm Depth: 22 cm Weight 2392 g / 2.4 kg Condition The lacquerware shows minor signs of age-appropriate wear with slight scratches and surface marks, but overall remains in good vintage condition with the decorative maki-e work well-preserved.
