Birgeria: These fish had slender bodies, pointed snouts, and sharp teeth, and were upper-level predators at the time.

Environment: Shallow marine lagoon sediments
Description: Keichousaurus hui and Birgeria lived in the same shallow marine ecosystem, occupying different dietary levels. The former preyed on small fish and shrimp, while the latter was a medium-sized predator. They are very rarely found buried together!
