A quiet winter scene unfolds at Kozan-ji Temple, softly wrapped in falling snow.
Stone steps and pathways lead the viewer’s eye through tall trees toward the temple buildings beyond, their roofs gently dusted with white. The contrast between the dark trunks, textured stone walls, and fresh snow creates a calm yet rhythmic composition.
Masao Ido’s refined woodblock technique captures the stillness of a winter moment in Kyoto, expressing both the serenity of the temple grounds and the quiet beauty of snowfall that transforms the landscape into a place of contemplation and peace.
