Provenance: Directly from the artist, Halvdan Ljøsne Halvdan Ljøsne was a prominent Norwegian painter who studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts (1950–53) under Aage Storstein and Jean Heiberg, and continued his studies in Paris (1953–54) with Gustave Singier. He earned a Master’s degree in Art History in 1956 and later served as both professor and rector at the National Academy, leaving a lasting legacy in Norwegian art.
