Beautiful African indigo cotton cloth from Mali, traditionally worn as a wrapper. This textile was hand-woven in seven narrow panels, that were then combined to form a larger cloth, stitched together by hand. The textile was dyed with natural indigo, using a resist-dye technique (tying, knotting) resulting in the white pattern. One end was hemmed, the other features a little fringe. In very good vintage condition, with one corner slightly faded and worn (probably where it was tied at the waist). Would look great as a throw blanket, wall hanging or even beach wrapper!
