Art Nouveau Ceramic Vase with Handles – c. 1900–1915
In excellent/ near mint condition – No reserve.
An impressive Art Nouveau ceramic vase, dating from the turn of the 20th century, distinguished by its sculptural silhouette, integrated handles and rich, flowing glaze. This is a high-quality, heavy decorative object, clearly produced as an artistic statement rather than utilitarian ware.
It is finished in a rich, flowing glaze ranging from deep cobalt blue to turquoise and emerald green, complemented by warm ochre tones. The glaze shows beautiful kiln effects and natural craquelure, adding depth and character— a refined visual balance that is strongly associated with continental European Art Nouveau ceramics.
Its harmonious proportions, tactile surface and expressive glaze give the piece a strong presence. Objects of this type were typically produced by specialized workshops in Flanders, Belgium, where experimentation with glazes and sculptural form was central around 1900.
