One of the many survival tools issued to men in WWII was an emergency signaling mirror. This ESM/1 version made by General Electric Co. could be used in an emergency to attract ships or aircraft by reflecting sunlight. Such mirrors were issued to members of the military, merchant seamen, and others, like OSS personnel, serving abroad. it could be used to signal for assistance over a 10-mile distance. Instructions for using the mirror are provided on the device, Great and rare 100% original Survival/Airborne/Commando item from WW2 in nice condition (the box has some wear), but it even has the original cardboard filling.
