Monde Shuzou is founded in Isawa town in the Yamanashi prefecture. The distillery was founded in 1952. Monde is the third whisky distillery in Japan – bigger than ji-whisky makers, but far smaller than Suntory and Nikka. It does have its cult following in Japan and is becoming increasingly popular internationally. The bottle design of this blend is a highlight in itself. For this special bottling, the bottle has been coated with a golden color. Only 10-year-old whiskies are used for this blend. Due to the age of the bottles, the labels show signs of age and storage!
