Gran Reserva 904, 1987 Gran Reserva (3 Bottles) Bodegas La Rioja Alta S.A. - (Haro, La Rioja) D.O.: RIOJA Rioja Vintage Rating 1987: VERY GOOD 90% tempranillo, 10% mazuelo "The Tempranillo comes from the oldest vineyards located in the Rioja Alta subzone, mainly from the municipalities of Briñas, Labastida and Villalba. The rest of the grapes come from the Melchorón I and II estates in Briones and Rodezno. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. It remains for 6 months in old century-old oak vats in which malolactic fermentation ends. In May 1988 the wine was racked into 225 liter American oak barrels. Subjected to aging for 60 months with a total of 10 manual rackings. Bottled directly from the barrel, unfiltered, in June 1993."
