With preserved hooks !! A one of its kind. I picked it up from a high grade collection I recently bought (estate sale). The collector dug and prepared the specimen himself. Name : Phragmoteuthis conocauda, Age : Lower Jurassic, Toarcian stage Findspot : Holzmaden , Germany The slab measures 28.5 x 10 cm ,while the fossil squid has a length of 18 cm. This is a rare squid , and it is much rarer to have the hooks !! . Please note the slab has been glued, but in exception of the 2 thin glue lines, all is original here , nothing has been added, nor painted . Envoi via la poste dans colis suivi et assuré.
