日本高冈铜花瓶,斑驳蓝金铜绿氧化纹理 - 峰雲(Houun) - 黄铜色 - Houun / 峰雲 - 日本 - Shōwa period (1926-1989)

Description: A cast bronze vase (kabin) with a slender neck rising from a teardrop-shaped body. The surface is covered in a mottled pattern of deep turquoise blue interspersed with shimmering gold, creating a dense, organic interplay of color across the form. The patination reflects the controlled chemical coloring techniques associated with Takaoka, a center of metal casting with a history spanning over four centuries. From the rounded body, the line narrows gradually into a long, elegant neck. Around the shoulder, a subtle horizontal ridge encircles the vessel, introducing a quiet structural accent within the otherwise smooth contour. The base continues the same mottled finish as the body, maintaining visual continuity when viewed from below or at an angle. The inscription on the accompanying original wooden box (tomobako) identifies the artist as Houun. Dimensions: Diameter: 9 cm Mouth Diameter: 2.5 cm Height: 23.2 cm Weight: 559 g Condition: No chips, cracks or restorations. The original wooden box shows signs of age. Artist Profile: Houun is a signature associated with the production of Takaoka bronze ware (Takaoka Doki) in Toyama Prefecture. Takaoka is Japan's primary center for copper casting, specializing in traditional coloring techniques that involve controlled oxidation and the application of natural pigments to create various “scenery” on the metal surface. While specific biographical details of this individual artist are limited, the work reflects the high technical standards of mid-to-late 20th-century Japanese decorative metalwork. Additional Notes Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the item description.
