This is a fine bronze flower vase from the renowned metalworking tradition of Takaoka Copperware (高岡銅器 / Takaoka-dōki), crafted by Kanejun (兼旬作). The vase features an elegant, classical silhouette with a flared mouth and rounded body. The surface is finished in a deep green patina, richly accented with relief bands of archaic-style patterns reminiscent of ancient ritual bronze motifs. The twin handles are sculpted in an animal-head form, adding sculptural strength and balance to the design. The base bears the artist’s signature, and the piece comes with its original wooden tomobako (signed storage box). The vase itself appears unused and well preserved. The outer box shows signs of aging, including minor dirt and writing on the back of the lid commemorating an anniversary.
