Large Keichousaurus hui: 23 cm Small Keichousaurus hui: 8 cm This is an exceptionally well-preserved fossil of Keichousaurus hui, found in Late Middle Triassic marine strata in Guizhou, China (approximately 240 million years ago). A large, central individual, gracefully posed, with a complete skeleton including ribs, a slender neck, limbs, and a tail. A smaller individual, located below the main body, possibly a juvenile or a smaller member of the same group, is also well-preserved with clearly defined anatomical details. Keichousaurus hui is one of the most representative marine reptiles of Triassic China, renowned for its slender body, long neck, and adaptations to aquatic life.
