[ 免费送货 ] 青铜花瓶,龙形把手 - 签名 'Houn' - 高冈铜器 - 黄铜色 - Houn (峰雲) - Takaoka Copperware - 日本 - Shōwa period (1926-1989)

Description: This bronze vase by Houn presents a composed, rounded silhouette that rises with volume through the body, narrows gently at the neck, and opens again at the mouth. The surface is finished in a two-tone patina: a deep black ground over which abstract, cloud-like red mottling appears. The smooth finish allows the contrast between the dark base and the reddish patterns to emerge clearly. On either side, the vase is fitted with dragon-head handles, each biting a loose ring. This motif, derived from ancient Chinese bronzes and long adopted into Japanese metalwork, appears here as stylized beast-head ears with freely moving rings. The handles frame the rounded body and introduce a measured sense of movement within the overall form. The underside bears the impressed seal “Houn.” The vase is accompanied by its original box; the box shows damage. Dimensions: Height: 28.0 cm Diameter: 18.0 cm Mouth Diameter: 8.0 cm Weight: 2350 g Condition: No chips, cracks or restorations. Small surface marks consistent with age are present around the rim and inner area. The accompanying box has damage. ※Because the original box shows significant damage, there is a possibility that it may sustain further damage during shipping. We kindly ask for your understanding in this regard. If the box is not required, please let us know in advance. Artist Profile: “Houn” is a name associated with Takaoka copperware, a traditional craft from Toyama Prefecture, Japan, with a history spanning over 400 years. Takaoka bronze is known for its casting techniques and patination methods, including deep browns, mottled reds, and verdigris tones. Works signed Houn demonstrate casting and shaping techniques consistent with this regional metalworking tradition.
