This is a fantastic vintage 1865 Grande Champagne Cognac. It was purchased by me directly from Bert Dielen, the famous bottler of Prunier cognacs, located in Venlo (the Netherlands). The bottle is one of only hundred and was carefully stored in Bert Dielen's private collection until I acquired it a few years ago. It has since been carefully preserved by myself. The Cognac was picked and purchased by Bert Dielen. According to Bert, it is the best Cognac he ever tasted. It was bottled around 2006-2007. Two batches were bottled. A small batch of 20 50 cl was bottled. A batch of 100 70cl was also bottled. How often do get the chance to buy a pre-phylloxera Grande Champagne Cognac? Bottle will only be shipped within the EU. [Expert's remark: I've seen a written confirmation by Claire Burnez that contents of this cognac do not come from Prunier stock, in contrast to the 1906 bottles by Dielen.
