An Antique King George III Sterling Silver pair of candlesticks, in a highly decorated style, having detachable nozzles and the original wooden bases. Made in Sheffield, 1821 & 1822 (203 years old), (Scones are made in 1822 & 1827) Made by Thomas Watson & Co, one of the scones is made by William Watson & Thomas Bradbury (likely that the Watson silversmiths are brothers). Fully English hallmarked for sterling silver. The dimensions of this fine pair of hand-made antique silver candlesticks are: Length 17.5 cm Wide at base 10.5 x 10.5 cm Approx. 406 + 393 = 799 gram (weighted for staibility) (bobèches weigh 56 grams together) Condition: Good condition considering it's age of 202 years old. One has a slight wobble of 2 mm. One candlestick is 0.5 cm higher. Little loss on the higher points of the decoration due of polishing through the years.
