铜绿青铜 - Signed Yoshimitsu - 一件带铜绿氧化的青铜置物雕件,描绘一名年轻的武士手持武士刀。 - Meiji period (1868-1912)

A bronze okimono depicting a young samurai with his katana drawn, held firmly with both hands in a guarding stance. His intense, focused expression and posture suggest a moment of training or preparation for combat. The kimono is finely engraved with floral motifs and family crests "mon", while the flowing folds of the garment enhance the dynamism of the samurai’s gesture. The figure rests on a wooden base decorated with gold maki-e lacquer. Signed Yoshimitsu on the reverse of the robes. Okimono (置物), combining the kanji "oki" (置き, to place) and "mono" (物, object), refers to a decorative object meant for display. Okimono, popular in the Meiji period (1868 - 1912), were finely crafted sculptures made from materials such as ivory, boxwood, wood, and bronze. ---The okimono is in good condition with minor wear to the patina, consistent with age and use. Please refer to the pictures for further details. ---The item will be carefully packed and shipped via DHL express or FedEx. The original certificate of authenticity issued by our gallery will be provided to the buyer. 261
